our Mission

During the months following Lily’s diagnosis, fear, uncertainty and confusion threatened to overwhelm and consume us (I’m sure this is a feeling to which every parent with similar experiences can relate).  As time went on, we also had to watch her experience (due to the severity of her allergies) moments of exclusion during holidays and special events, and we were filled with sadness.  The words of Jesus in Matthew 6:26-29 became a life verse.

  “Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they?…Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in  all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”  

    These verses have inspired the two-part mission of our business: we will create delicious, beautiful, and tailor-made decorated sugar cookies free of the top-eight allergens  (dairy, egg, wheat, soy, peanut, tree nut, fish and shellfish) using fresh, safe, and creative ingredients in a kitchen environment that is separate and free of contaminants; we will consider the other “Lilys” in our allergen community and make these cookies available to them.  We want to create an environment of inclusion for children (our passion) and adults with food allergies and intolerances and eliminate the stress of milestone moments!!
